In this workshop we'll teach you how to make a sweet shortcrust pastry, as well as a savoury shortcrust. We'll then show you the tricks of the trade to get neat edges, a glossy finish, and no shrinkage. Once we've made our doughs, we'll be making a French Tomato and Dijon Mustard Tart, a rustic Aubergine and Feta Galette, and an Alsatian Apple Tart.
Refreshments will be provided, including bubbly, tea, coffee, or soft drinks.
The bakery kitchen is compact and is not designed for each participant to have their own separate work station. Our classes can accommodate a maximum of 4 participants, and are a sociable event with everybody working together around a central work bench. They would therefore ideally suit two sets of friends/couples, or a group of four people who all know each other. Participants over the age of 18 only, unless by prior arrangement.
Class is approximately 3.5 hours. Maximum class size is 4 people. Please allow for over-running.
